I week of driving around the country. Left Cornwall via a visit to Tintagel, back to London before taking kids up to university in Liverpool and Manchester.
Will miss this lovely coastline, maybe one day I will move down here.
Just about managed to get 2 kids packed into van for trip up north for the start of university. Not quite the same as taking one rucsac on a train.
This was my first time visiting Liverpool. Daughter A is staying in Greenbank (end of Penny Lane) which seems to be a lovely part of town. Had a lovely lunch at The Watering Can
So exciting to walk around UoM campus and buy books on the reading list for daughter O. Even with all the stresses that come with being a fresher I kind of wish I was starting over again…
Stayed at Belmont Camping and managed to get a visit to Beeston Castle where you can just see Jodrell Bank in the distance (and Liverpool and Manchester!)
Impressive round house constructed by volunteers using traditional tools and materials
Home for a couple of nights with the cows and geese
Looking at links.duncanwilson.com, these parts of the internet crossed my path this week:
- love this video from Norwegian Consumer Council on enshittification
- was sad to miss Papercamp 5 and would loved to have heard Aarons talk on postcards
