Attended my first CUPUM (Computational Urban Planning and Management) conference being hosted by CASA at UCL East. Was great to see the primary community that CASA affiliate with coming together to share research and practice in the field of computational urbanism. Was also lovely to be able to host the event at UCL East across both Marshgate and One Pool Street (Bartlett LinkedIn have some photos). The photos below provide a little glimpse into the event. I was lucky enough to present with Jinyue (Institute of Archaeology) on our work at HouseMill (presentation here) and chair one of the sessions (LinkedIn post from one of the speakers).
Keynote 1 - Rob Kitchin on Dublin / Ireland Work
Andy presenting our Metaverse and digital habitation work.
Ketnote 2 - Hannah Fry - what single word would you say to distinguish yourself from an AI - context is everything…
Keynote 3 - our own Mike Batty
Mike Fest - Elsa organised a lovely tribute to Mike - 30 years of CASA and 80 years of Mike!
Poster session - metaverse demos
Presentation partner - Jinyue Zhang from the Institute of Archaeology
